"What Life I've Had"
by Mike Defendant
Open skies and bags of cheap red wine,
oh time flies when you're feeling fine.
We chase the days, back to when we were young. I wish we knew, that we were having fun. We chose to grow, we chose to change our ways, that life was all just one big passing phase. We lost our minds, we lost some friends as well. We learn to cope here in this living hell.
The miles pass, and we leave them behind, where you are is just a state of mind.
A flooding pour of sudden memories, The folks I've known, both friends and enemies.
I learned from them, they taught me all I know,
I lived to tell, I’ve got the scars to show. looking back, life hasn't been that bad, I've grown to learn, to love what life I've had.
