"The Beauty Of It All"
by Mike Defendant

Take a look outside, tell me what you see?
Destruction and corruption, that's the way it looks to me. I can't see the beauty of it all.
Im stuck waiting for the bombs to fall. A flashing white light, Explosions shake the earth. If there's a heaven, then I'll find out what Im worth. Fire spreads with every blast, everything around it is burning down fast.

I don't see the flowers, I don't see the trees.
I see a battlefield that's full of enemies. I see the poor struggle to survive, while a rich man laughs cause he knows we'll never thrive. He counts his money until it's a bore. You know he's gonna wake up and count his stash some more. Paycheck to paycheck doesn't cross his thoughts. We don't even matter and that bothers me a lot.
