"Last Call!"
by Mike Defendant
Oh bartender, won't ya give me a cup, of something so heavy that I can't pick it up. I don't want to think today. So pour a little something to keep the thoughts away. What's the name of this bar again? Your sign was too blurry when I walked right in. Who's that band playing so loud? They sound real good but they don't have a crowd. Noone here is on my team, but all of the Alcohol in my bloodstream. I made friends with the roaches on the wall. Then I called the number on the bathroom stall. Nobody answered that made me feel sad, I called for a good time and the one I got was bad. These beers were cheap until I drank about 10. These trips always cost more than I should spend. I'm not feeling up to par. I think its time to leave this bar. I'll black out and then away I go. I'll make it home safe because I'm pro. There's no point in being here. I'm all out of money and I'm all out of beer. None of my friends are here anyway, I made a wrong turn and then decided to stay. I still don't remember the name of this spot. If ya see me here again, I must have drank a lot. This was my first time and it was my last. I could have been somewhere having a blast. Me and myself with just my train of thought. That particular place I don't go to a lot. I don't even want to mingle tonight, I just want to drink until I see the daylight.
