I'm in the zone with a microphone.
Just me and these lines I own.
A dim light room is the place to be.
All is calm while they wait for me.
They listen and some can relate.
I feel it back and it's lifting some weight.
This stage is a basement floor.
These shows always mean much more.
No instruments to hide behind.
It's a new sense of pride I find.
Set list staring back at me.
Practice pays off, that I see.
These people like what I've got.
I'm not used to that happening a lot.
These shows make me feel nice.
A lot like therapy, a fraction of the price.
